Day 1 & 2: Skiathos – Skopelos

During the first two days of the cruise you will visit Skiathos and Skopelos, two beautiful locations perfect for romantic retreats. What made this location very popular worldwide is the movie Mama Mia, which features a few scenes filmed on the islands. You will visit and explore the beautiful island of Skopelos, located between Skiathos and Alonissos. Skopelos is home to the famous church of Agios Ioannis Kastri, which later became known as the Mamma Mia Church because of the movie filmed at the location. What you’re going to enjoy most about Skopelos are stunning beaches and the crystal clear water that brings peace and tranquility to mind.  There’s no better place to enjoy a long summer day than on beautiful Greece beaches such as the famous Limonari beach. If you love the idea of swimming in a tropical location, the Limonari beach is the perfect spot for you. However, you can also choose to visit the Agnontas beach where you can enjoy sea food and various traditional dishes in the Greek tavernas. Besides wonderful beaches, you will visit the two main villages on the island called Town and Glossa. What’s great about these two locations is that they are situated on top of a hill and provide an outstanding view of the whole island. You can take picturesque walks and tours around the villages, as well as visit the famous monasteries of Skopelos.

Day 3: Skopelos – Alonissos

On day three you will continue the journey to Alonissos, which is a cruise lasting about 40 minutes. This location offers breathtaking landscapes and paths for long walks. It is also one of the most remote islands of the group, providing plenty of areas worth exploring. You may also come across rare species of animals, including rare seabirds, dolphins and monachus monachus, the rare Mediterranean Monk Seal. The island features lots of natural landscape and it is surrounded by lots of smaller islands you can choose to visit as well. Pine forests, olive trees and beautiful views are few things you can enjoy while walking through the island of Alonissos. What’s really going to leave you speechless is the National Marine Park of Northern Sporades, where all the rare animals are located. The island is also home to a beautiful harbor Patitiri, which is also its capital. The residents of the island focus on wine making so you will get a chance to try some of their exquisite wines and dishes. Besides Patitiri, there’s also the old capital of the island called Hora, home to a medieval castle from which you can enjoy amazing views of the whole region. If you visit Hora, you must take time to visit the church of Agioi Anargyori surrounded by a beautiful pine forest. Overall, Alonissos is going to be a place you will remember for a long time.

Day 4: Alonissos – Kyra Panayia

On day 4 you will visit the island of Kyra Panagia, also known as Pelagos. This island is home to the historic monastery of Northern Sporades and since it’s not inhabited, you will only come across monks and fishermen while walking through the land. However, there’s a lot to see here, including ruins of old churches and amazing wild life. The island is located about 3.5 miles northeast from the northern coast of Alonnisos and it stretches over a surface of 25 square kilometers. The whole island belongs to the Holy Monastery of Megisti Lavra, which is located on Mount Athos. The monastery also maintains the land since there are no residents to take care of it. If you’re looking for wild nightlife and club parties, Kyra Panayia is not going to be your favorite place of the cruise. However, what you can find on this island is much more valuable than any club you will go to. The island features lots of natural landscape untouched by the human hand. It gives you the opportunity to explore the untouched regions of Earth and to enjoy the peace and tranquility that can only be found in nature. However, as much as you can enjoy the wildlife in the forests of Kyra Panayia, you must make sure not to disturb it, as the island is part of the NMPANS nature reserve. As you walk through the land of the island, you may feel isolated from the civilization, which can open up a whole new world and perspective.

Day 5-6: Kyra Panayia – Skiathos Town

The fifth and sixth day of the cruise include visiting the Skiathos Town, famous for its golden beaches. This family location features plenty of beautiful beaches, including Banana and Tsougria beach, as well as the exotic beach of Lalaria, only accessible by a boat. Being one of the most popular islands in Greece, Skiathos has a lot to offer to its visitors. Unlike Kyra Panayia, Skiathos features a livelier atmosphere, which makes it a great attraction for youth. The famous bay of Koukounaries, which is located on the southern side of the island, happens to be one of the most popular beaches of the area. However, besides well organized and stunning beaches, the island offers you wonderful views and locations, including the Medieval Castle. All major activities of the island take place in The Town, where you can enjoy fresh food and refreshing beverages.  If you want to enjoy the panoramic views of the island, you can take the minibus tour, which will take you to the famous monastery of Evangelistria. This monastery is located about 5 kilometers north of Skiathos Town and it is definitely a location worth visiting. However, even besides great cultural and historic locations one can visit, the visitors of Skiathos have always found the beautiful golden beaches to be the best place to spend time on the island.

However, before the cruise ends, you will get to enjoy in the beauty of one of the most amazing beaches not only in Greece but in the whole world. The Koukounaries beach features beautiful white and deep blue waters, as well as a pine tree forest. You can spend your time relaxing under beautiful umbrellas on the beach or drinking cocktails in beach bars. For those who like to take fun to a whole new level, there are opportunities to try out different water sports as well. Besides great beaches and pine forests, the island also features a lake that covers over 9 hectares of land. Called the Strophylia Lake, this body of water is connected to the sea through a narrow channel. It makes a beautiful place for taking photographs and making memories. Once you finish exploring the forest and the nearby locations, including the wonderful lake, you can head back to one of the beach bars and enjoy a refreshing beverage with the view of a sunny beach.
